Greetings FLSS果冻传媒members!
I hope you all are okay with no injuries and little damage after Hurricane Helene.
The Magnolia Educational Treasurers (MET) at the Sheraton Orlando North was a great time. There was an opportunity to get 14 CCPs (CEs).
It was great seeing people from the other southern states. The wine/cheese event and silent auction was a hit. All the speakers were great. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly/helpful, and the food was delicious. We had a balloon arch and a photo-op station. We received many comments that the MET was better than the annual meetings! I would like to thank the entire Florida Board for all their help in putting together an amazing event. Florida Rocks!!!
The spring meeting is going to be held at the Marriott North Fort Lauderdale on April 26th. Once again, we are going to have a great program and slate of speakers for you. Also, this will be when we vote on the slate of delegates to go to the annual meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone in Fort Lauderdale.
Next year (2025) The Annual Meeting is going to be held in Pittsburgh, PA from July 21-25. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend!
If you have never attended a meeting, this is a great opportunity for you to get your CCPs (CEUs). It is a great way to meet new people and get involved in the Florida State Society.

Hello FLSSAMT!
Well, we survived our first-ever Hybrid meeting on May 4, 2024. If you attended, whether in person or remotely, we were happy to see you all again. We were so thrilled to have 12 new members in attendance. It was a bit rough for our first hybrid and we appreciated the supportive comments and watching members helping members online. I do hope all of you will join us for our upcoming meetings.
The Magnolia Educational Treasures is scheduled for Sept 19-22,2024 at the North Orlando Sheraton Hotel by Marriott in Maitland, Florida with educational presentations on Friday, Sept 20th, and Saturday the 21st. We have a boatload of CE credits waiting for you. Watch your email for more info. I am sure you have seen the save the date flyers with the hotel link for reservations. Make those reservations as soon as you can. This is an 11-state event and you do not want to miss out!
April 26th is our FLSS果冻传媒2025 Spring Meeting at the North Ft. Lauderdale Marriott. Save That Date and watch for more information.
I want to encourage everyone to sign up for the Florida Communities page. The information posted there comes to you in an email nearly instantly! Our website will still have information, as well as meeting registration and our Job postings, but to save data use, we will be putting most of our posting on Florida’s Communities communication page and library.
Zombie Season is nearly upon us and I encourage you to get that emergency plan in place now. Reminding you all to stock up, charge up, and fill up. Get those 72 hr. kits together and evaluate your environments for needed repairs, and preparations. Encourage your workplace to start putting together their emergency plans. Stock up on bug repellent and sunscreen!
Always remember to lend a hand to someone who needs it and to accept a hand when offered! We are in this together!
